Lisa is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Providence College with a degree in Psychology. She then received her Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Rhode Island.
Lisa has extensive experience working with all populations. She has worked with older and younger adults with traumatic brain injuries and strokes. She is highly trained working with pediatric clients with language-based learning disabilities, developmental delays, articulation disorders and social communication impairments for children with autism spectrum disorders.
Lisa is trained in the Lindamood-Bell programs: LiPs (Phoneme Sequencing), Seeing Stars and Visualizing and Verbalizing programs for reading and reading comprehension impairments.
In June 2019, Lisa completed the Advanced Clinical Workshop on Childhood Apraxia of Speech with Edythe Strand. Lisa is trained in PROMPT (Prompts for Restructuring Oral and Muscular Phonetic Targets).
Lisa has taken courses in social communication impairments, augmentative communication and Applied Behavioral Analysis.
Lisa's clinical experiences include: in-patient rehabilitation, out-patient clinics, local school districts and a clinical instructor at a university clinic in Virginia.
Lisa has been in private practice in Franklin, MA since 2010.
